In a recent article by Andrew Follett on How to Increase Conversions on any Website in 45 Minutes he mentioned Feedback Army as a remote testing service to get feedback on your site to allow you to find areas on your site that need improvement.

Google has recently announced that it will be phasing out support for Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 (IE6) for it's popular web apps. They are starting with Google Docs and Google Sites. As a result you may find that from March 1 2010 key functionality within these products, as well as new Docs and Sites features, won’t work properly in older browsers.

Later in 2010, Google will start to phase out support for IE6 for Google Mail and Google Calendar.

Google is not the first to stop supporting this incredibly old browser. Other service like YouTube dropped support for IE6 earlier.

Now is the time to rank your Joomla web site high in Google and Yahoo.

Do-It-Yourself Checklist For Your Web Site

1. Is your company information up to date?

Check you staff listing or directory (correct names, titles, and other contact information). Update your company history, especially references such as “We’ve been in business for four years.”

2. Is your contact information up to date?

Are the phone and fax numbers, mailing and email addresses listed on your site all current?

3. Do an end-to-end test of your email routing

When you use 'info @ yourdomain.com' as a contact address on your site, does the correct person receives all submitted messages? What about 'orders @ yourdomain.com'? Make sure your email routing reflects any changes you’ve had in you organization.

4. Test your contact forms

Review, test and update any contact forms on your site. Submit the form without the required information and have a close look at the resulting error message.

5. Check your automated outgoing messages

Review all outgoing automated message to make sure it says what you want it to say. Does it have the right contact information?

6. Update your copyright and/or privacy policy statements

Make sure your copyright notice is not outdated. If you have a privacy policy, review it to make sure it describes your current policy toward handling your visitor's personal information.

7. Test outgoing links on your web site

Check all links on your site to make they’re accurate and up-to-date. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) offers an online link checker that makes this easy to do. Click here to check your outgoing links.

8. Review the hidden sections of your web site

If your site is (partially) password-protected, do these passwords need to be changed? Were there any staff changes during 2008, check all access details!

9. Review your domain record

Make sure your domain registrar has current contact information for you and make sure you don't miss renewal notices and other important announcements about your domain.
