Congrats to the Joomla Community with its latest arrival, people.joomla.org,
the Joomla Community Portal.
Only hours ago Joomla launched this new Community Portal and many of our friends are jumping in as we speak. Powered by our valued partner JomSocial, this is an important step forward in getting connected with and within the Joomla Community.
Open Source Matters and Joomla's Community Leadership Team have selected CloudAccess to manage all Joomla Demo Sites.
The US based team of CloudAccess will “provide users who are considering Joomla as a CMS with a simple and reliable way to try out its major features”. Their cloud-based solution will offer you a free 30-day Joomla Demo-account that you can use to build a working Joomla site. Within this 30-day period you will be able to easily move your Joomla Demo-site to your own host or, if you wish, sign up with CloudAccess as a host. The Joomla Project will benefit from royalties on any users who sign up for professional hosting at CloudAccess.
Just a couple of weeks ago, I ran into Quantcast.com, a website that helps publishers, marketers and media buyers to evaluate any website with US based visitor statistics. Since we fully focus on Joomla Support Services, we ran a report on www.joomla.org and found some interesting data.
One result kept me wondering: why is it that only 37% of the US visitors are female?
Fotis Evangelou from Joomlaworks just launched his new website which enables you to quickly browse a growing number of interesting Joomla-related sources at start.joomlaworks.gr.
With this aggregated overview of the latest news on Joomla Templates, Extensions, Blogs, local Communities and Official Joomla News, you can have your daily portion of Joomla without any hassle.
Fotis worked with Brian Teeman on this initiative. The both of them did a fine job and you're even free to suggest your Joomla News Source yourself!
