Upcoming: Free Joomla Demo Sites by CloudAccess.net

  • Bookmark and Share

Open Source Matters and Joomla's Community Leadership Team have selected CloudAccess to manage all Joomla Demo Sites.

The US based team of CloudAccess will “provide users who are considering Joomla as a CMS with a simple and reliable way to try out its major features”. Their cloud-based solution will offer you a free 30-day Joomla Demo-account that you can use to build a working Joomla site. Within this 30-day period you will be able to easily move your Joomla Demo-site to your own host or, if you wish, sign up with CloudAccess as a host. The Joomla Project will benefit from royalties on any users who sign up for professional hosting at CloudAccess.

I had the pleasure of participating in a beta-test with CloudAccess to help them fine-tune the process of registration and setup of free Joomla Demo-accounts. The new Joomla Demo-setup will most certainly help new users to get familiar with Joomla and start building a complete site with it.

Starting with Joomla in this free and fully featured sandbox will be easier then ever before. You'll benefit from a personal and unique subdomain, without having your playground being automatically refreshed every hour or so. The Joomla Project will benefit financially from all users who choose to host their Joomla site through Cloud Access after the 30-day free trial.

Keep a close eye on Joomla.org for future announcements on the launch of the new Joomla Demo-setup or follow us on Twitter.
